Custard cake



CUSTARD CAKE

1 cup flour

1 cup castor sugar

3 tsp baking powder

4 eggs-separated

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup boiling water

METHOD:

Beat egg whites and leave aside.In a seprate bowl sift dry ingrediants and

make a well,add in egg yolks,oil,vanilla, water and beat...lastly fold in beaten egg whites and bake in sandwich pans on 180 degrees till done


Custard:

2 cups milk

3 n 1/2 tblsp custard powder

1 tsp sugar

Boil above till thick...then add 65g butter and 3/4 cup castor sugar

 

Slice cake in half n layer 3 layers with custard and fresh cream right at the top.can also be topped with carnation caramel sauce(optional)
