Foccia bread


Focaccia bread

2 cups warm water

4 tablespoon sugar 

2 tablespoon yeast

2 cups flour

1⁄4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoon milk powder- secret ingredient that makes them so soft


Mix together and set aside for 10-15 minutes. 


Then add:

1⁄2 cup oil

3 cups flour+ 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)


Mix well and knead until combined then use as desired. 


I let it sit for another 30 minutes.


I took two medium baking trays drizzled lots off olive oil and brushed it with a pastry brusher not missing anywhere , divided the dough in two, pressed each dough with the palm off my hand , On both trays. It will be stretchy and wont cover every bit off the tray. Don’t worry about it . Wrap the trays up in cling film. ( for resting )put the trays in warm place , for an hr. 


Mean time preheat your oven at 180c 


After half an hour unwrap the trays take a small bowl filled with some water dip your finger tips and make marks lightly all over the dough with ur finger tips. 

I then put some fresh parsley leaves 

Sliced red onions 

Cherry tomatoes 

In one tray I put sliced green olives 

Then lastly drizzled olive oil all over and sprinkled lots off sea salt and dried parsley. 


When ready to put it in the oven adjust the oven temp to 200c and bake till golden brown and a beautiful aroma off bread coming through your oven.
