Gulab jamun with kheer...

Ingredients

1 liter milk

1/4 cup rice

1/2 tbsp sugar

 2 tbsp almonds blanched and chopped

1/4 teaspoon cardamon powder

Few strands saffron


Method for kheer

Slightly grind rice in mixer and let it be slightly crushed.

In a pot,add milk and saffron and bring it to a boil,add rice and let it for 5-6 mins.

Add sugar and cardamon powder and mix well until rice is cooked and keep stirring in between.

Add almonds and mix well.

You can cool in the refrigerator if u like for few hours.


Gulab jamun

Ingredients for syrup

2 cups water

1 cup sugar

2-3 elaichi(cardamon)


Ingredients for gulab jamun...

1 cup milk powder

1 tbsp flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tbsp ghee

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon elaichi powder

Oil for frying


Method

For syrup

In a pan,

add water,

sugar,

cardamon 

and cook until sugar has dissolved.


Method for gulab jamun

In a bowl,add milk powder,flour,baking powder and elaichi powder and mix well.

Add ghee and mix until crumbled.

Add milk and mix well.

Now make the balls of the same size,and make sure they have no cracks.

In a pan,heat oil on low flame and add the gulab jamuns,make sure the oil is not too hot otherwise they will not cook well.

When they are golden brown,add them to the syrup and leave for 15-30 mins...

After that add kheer to a bowl and add gulab jamuns in it
