Coconut Laddoo
3 cups sifted gram flour
1/2 TSP yellow food colouring
1/2 TSP red food colouring
2 TSP baking powder
2 TSP melted butter ghee
425 ml +-tap water
Put all the dry ingredients into a bowl, add 400 ml water, add balance if necessary. Beat well, Batter should be smooth, not too week nor thick .. using a slotted spoon drop batter into deep hot oil, quick fry, remove and drain oil on paper towel
SYRUP
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
1/2 TSP food colouring
Boil on medium heat until slightly thick.. keep syrup warm
Add the fried bundi to the warm syrup , add 2 TSP fresh Elaichi (cardamom) powder, 1/2 cup desiccated coconut ( colour coconut optional) 2 TSP hot ghee.. mix in gently. Leave few hrs or overnight stirring occasionally.. mould into shape, place in sml paper cups and deco with coloured almonds
