Milk chocolate cake


 


Milk chocolate cake

200g self raising flour

225g caster sugar

1/2 tsp salt

25g cocoa powder sieved

100g margarine

2 eggs

5 tbsps evaporated milk

5tbsps water

1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

Chocolate icing: 60g margarine,

1 tbsps cocoa

250g icing sugar

3 tbsps hot milk

1tsp vanilla extract 

Method:

Heat oven to 160 c (fan)

Grease and line 2x 20cm tins

Mix flour sugar and cocoa

Rub in margarine. Beat eggs with milk.

Stir egg mixture, extract and liquid into dry ingredients and beat well.

Place mixture in prepared tins and bake for about 25/30 minutes.

Cool on wire rack and sandwich with milk chocolate icing and you can decorate with milk chocolate and any decorations.

To make the icing melt margarine blending in cocoa then stir in icing sugar milk and extract. Beat until smooth and thick.
